The members of the Testing and Assessment Commission of Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University's School of Foreign Languages, Lecturer Ebru YAYLA HINIZ and Lecturer Kübra ARICAN, attended the "Testing and Assessment Training Program" seminar hosted by Dokuz Eylül University in Izmir on February 23-24, 2024, organized by Oxford University Press (OUP) and conducted by Dr. Merve SELÇUK. The training took place in the Bordeaux Hall of Dokuz Eylül University's Continuing Education Center (DESEM). Dr. Merve SELÇUK, who has conducted extensive work in the field of foreign language testing and assessment, delivered a series of informative theoretical and practical presentations and workshops. These covered exam preparation processes, types of questions, criteria for evaluating and improving question quality, analysis methods, and the use of artificial intelligence applications in preparing questions targeting different skills. The training was attended by faculty members involved in exam preparation and assessment units from various universities in the Aegean Region, providing an opportunity for exchanging ideas and gaining insights into different practices.
