On September 20, 2023, a training meeting titled "Artificial Intelligence in Material Development and Assessment Processes in Foreign Language Education" was organized by the School of Foreign Languages under the coordination of Dr. Gökhan HINIZ, the Deputy Director of the School. The meeting took place with the participation of the School of Foreign Languages staff. During the meeting, the potential of artificial intelligence technology in foreign language education was discussed, and how it can be utilized in language learning processes was examined in detail.
The training meeting, consisting of two parts, began with a presentation by Dr. Gökhan HINIZ. In the presentation, important information was shared regarding how artificial intelligence technology can assist in the development of language learning materials and the evaluation of student performance. Additionally, examples were provided on how to create and use artificial intelligence-supported learning materials.
Following the presentation, the staff of the School of Foreign Languages had the opportunity to closely experience artificial intelligence-supported language learning tools through practical applications in the computer laboratory.
